Ferry to Koh Samui

We checked out of our hotel bright and early (ish) and got on what had been dubbed "the party bus", which in fact was a bus with a tv and music system. The seats were set out in rows with leg room probably ample for Thais but not so ample for 6" Westerners such as myself.  Nicola and I squeezed into our room and plugged in our ipod for the 3 hour journey from Khao Sok National Park to the ferry terminal.

We arrived at around 15:55 and our ferry left at 16:00 so there was a slight rush to make our ferry but we got there okay in the end. The ferry itself seemed like a scaled down version of the Dover to Calais ferries back home and it had open walkways which allowed us to take photos during the 2 hour ferry journey to Koh Samui. We had the first glimpse of the crystal clear, turquoise seas that border Thailand and it got our excitement levels up at the thought of taking a dip.

My heart will go on......
